MAF Finance Group is a nationwide finance broker, with a highly experienced 50+ strong team of finance experts and industry specialists spanning construction, manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture and renewables, fleet management and vehicle leasing. MAF works with a large panel of banks and alternative funders providing access to finance for investment and refinance of asset purchases along with commercial mortgage and invoice finance facilities.
The Beginning
In 2009, Dave & Sue Chapman set up Midlands Asset Finance to support businesses access finance to help them grow. Having worked for one bank for most of their banking careers, they didn’t want to have to say 'no' to a customer with a great business plan. Now, working with a large panel of banks and alternative funders, our ethos is an appetite to say ‘yes’ to customers across all market sectors.
The Early Years
In our early years, we worked as a small team from The Ropewalk in Nottingham, largely working with clients across the Midlands.As we evolved and brought in new experienced financiers, we invested in premises in Derbyshire, just off Junction 28 of the M1 making it easier for us to see more customers across more of the UK.
Our Growth Period
We began our expansion in 2016 by bringing in specialist teams to provide sector expertise to businesses in construction, healthcare, property finance, agriculture, renewables, fleet management and vehicle leasing.
The Rebrand
In 2021, we dropped the Midlands Asset Finance brand name. We'd grown to the point where we were no longer just operable in the Midlands and had a number of divisions that meant we no longer just did asset finance. And so, MAF Finance Group was born.
Today
A few months later, we were acquired by a bigger company and became part of the national insolvency firm, Bebgies Traynor Group. The acquisition expanded our offerings to business to more than just finance and gave us the chance to continue our rapid growth.
