An existing client to MAF Finance Group was looking to purchase solar panels for their business.

The investment into long-term renewable energy would reduce the clients’ carbon output and improve their energy consumption levels. 

The client required a financial solution that allowed them to purchase the solar panels, whilst also ensuring that business capital and day-to-day cash flow wouldn’t be compromised.

How MAF Finance Group supported the client

After an analysis of the client’s business, MAF Finance Group and the client took the time to consider multiple funding solutions to decide the best fit for the business.

Once this was completed, a hire purchase agreement was determined as the ideal arrangement to purchase the ground-mounted solar panels which were going to be placed on land adjacent to the businesses.

After this was identified, we used our panel of funders to select the right funder for the deal and we worked on the ideal timeframes for the client to get the solar panel project finished. Thanks to the preparation from all parties involved, the deadline for deal was completed on time.

How MAF Finance Group facilitated the intended outcome

Thanks to the continuous communication and hard work between MAF Finance Group and the selected funder, we arranged a £540,000 hire purchase agreement over 7 years to fund the solar panel purchase.

The solar panel project required staged payments, with the first instalment of £270,000 being paid to the supplier in order to secure the materials for the project and for the initial ground works to take place, with the remaining £270,000 payable upon project completion. 

As a result of the client securing the funds, they can invest into a renewable energy solution that provides the power necessary to operate their business, as well as reduce their businesses carbon footprint.
