Funding six robot grounds care equipment

A client required £200K funding solution for robotic grounds care equipment for their golf club.

Our client's approach

A client of ours was interested in acquiring an automated, robotic grounds car solution for their prestigious golf club. With constant technological advancements spanning across all industries, our client wanted to upgrade the facilities at their club. The intention was to upgrade the grounds care equipment to provide an elevated experience for its members.

The advanced robotic lawnmowers would be connected to transmitters placed around the boundaries of the course to create a “virtual mesh” that covers the course and guides the mowers. This investment in automation would allow grounds maintenance staff to focus on other areas of the course, while regular mowing was still undertaken.

Our client needed a solution that allowed them to acquire the robotic grounds care solution for their club, whilst also working in line with the business model and their specific financial requirements. At this point, MAF Finance Group, (MAF),  was enlisted to assist with financing a crucial piece of capital expenditure.

From a detailed review of the client’s needs, MAF decided with the client that a Hire Purchase agreement fir their requirements best. Afterwards, a panel of lenders was analysed thoroughly, and from this, the most competitive funder was selected, understanding the needs of the client and acknowledging the financial requirements.

As a result of the expertise of those on the deal, and the hard work from both MAF and the funder, the deal was completed swiftly.

How MAF Finance Group facilitated the intended outcome

Thanks to the communication, hard work and trust shown throughout the course of the deal, the client was able to secure £200,000 on a Hire Purchase Agreement with a VAT and low 5% deposit over a 5 year term, for this investment.

From the deal being completed, the client can now elevate their member experience, through providing equipment that provides an efficient and precise way to keep the playing surface in perfect condition all year round.
