The net zero industry has seen a 10% growth over the last 12 month, contributing over £80 billion towards the UK economy, and supporting over 950,000 jobs.
From this data, it shows that industries including renewable energy, zero emission vehicles and recycling are all key contributors to the growth, expansion and advancement of the UK economy.
The boost in the net zero economy is also seen in lower income areas, including Yorkshire and Scotland, demonstrating balanced development across the nation.
In Scotland, the net zero sector provided over £9 billion towards the economy, and providing 3.8% of jobs.
Out of the £83 billion earned through the net zero economy, over £28 billion was generated from businesses operating in the sector, and £54.3 billion from the wider economy.
