Leanne Leslie, a senior operations manager for MAF Finance Group (MAF), has been named as a recipient of this year’s Women in Supply Chain Award.
The awards, which are organised by Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive, honour female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network.
With 25 years’ experience in the motor trade, including roles with leading motor retailers, Leanne joined financial intermediary MAF in 2021 as operations manager, before being promoted to head of operations (vehicle management) nine months ago. Since its launch in 2020, MAF has managed funding for a total of over 1,000 vehicles across the UK.
Chris Leslie, commercial director who leads MAF’s dedicated vehicle management division, said: “We are very proud of Leanne and her achievement. Not only is she personally dedicated to meeting the needs of her clients on a daily basis, her relentless dedication, passion and unquestionable technical knowledge are the envy of many within the retail and fleet industries.
“Leanne is a genuine role model and is truly deserving of this special recognition award. Hopefully, her success story will inspire other younger people to join the industry. Our congratulations to Leanne from all of your team at MAF.”
Sue Chapman, managing director comments: “We are thrilled for Leanne to receive this prestigious award which is well deserved. Having worked within the motor trade before joining MAF, Leanne has brought expertise in asset procurement together with the most amazing work ethic. Given the difficulty we have seen in supply, I am full of admiration for Leanne’s ability to work with the dealer network to ensure our clients get the right vehicle, at the right time, at the right price. No matter what pressure Leanne and her team are under, there is always a smile and a very satisfied customer.”
